A UNO Draw 25 Cards post.
Someone at the table says "last card!" and the whole room goes quiet. You hold your hand a little closer to your chest and nod like a man with a plan. You do not have a plan. A shared flat, a house rule nobody agreed to, and a new clause written in biro on the card. Your flatmate has been waiting all evening to use it. You can't argue, because the rules are now technically in writing. The group chat has a "quick" decision to make: pizza or curry. Someone replies "or we just don't eat". Someone else, who has been quietly hungry since six, takes it personally. At work, your manager offers two options: stay late tonight, or come in on Saturday. You ask for a third. He says there is a third, and it's worse. **Why it caught on:** the picture is a two-panel photo. On the left is an Uno card with "or draw 25" written on it in marker, and on the right a man holds a fan of cards with a can of drink beside him and looks at it with total calm. People used it for any choice where the alternative is absurdly worse. It spread because the format is easy to fill in: any rule, ultimatum or "either/or" can be put on the card, and the man's face is the right level of unbothered.
